The Great Last Day of Summer

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a monkey? I am a monkey, and it was the last day of summer. My sisters Carmen and Maria were enjoying the last day of summer just like me. Maria was drinking coconut juice and eating a banana, and Carmen was in a hammock holding bananas with her tail. I was swinging from a tree. We live in the tallest tree in the whole jungle. We are very popular because we live in this tree. But since fall is coming, we cannot escape from our monkey fans because the leaves are falling and the fans can find us. So, Maria got a little nervous and started telling us we have to find a better tree to hide in because our fans will find us, and they won’t leave us alone. Carmen complains because her hammock is in the perfect spot, and she doesn’t want to move it.

We decide to go to the human world to get away from the other monkeys, but before we start our journey, we find huge horrible monsters that are picking up the trees. We monkeys see monsters all around us destroying the wonderful jungle. We try to find a way to stop them. Maria is scared of monsters, so she decides to look from the top of the trees to investigate the monsters instead of coming down with me and Carmen. Carmen and I only see monsters instead of wonderful trees. We climb to the top of a monster and see there is a human inside it. Maria yells that she found out they are controlling the monsters. We knock on the window and start breaking the monster. The human sees that we are mad. He opens the window, and we start yelling and screaming at him. He doesn’t do much but says “Awe! What cute little monkeys!” Carmen groans and moans, and she finds a little thingy that she starts playing with, and then she pulls it out. When she pulls it out, the monster stops making noise and stops moving. “The big bad monster is dead!” we exclaim. We bend the thingy so the monster doesn’t come back alive. We do that to all the big bad monsters and our jungle is saved.

All the monkeys scream with joy. We told them that we did not like how they bother us all the time. They said “OK” and left us at peace for the rest of our lives.
The End

  1. Isabel: Were you day or night dreaming when you came up with this interesting story? I feel as if you are inside a Wii game. Maybe you will find a future designing games for Wii!!
